Frequently Asked Questions
First, make sure your device has an active internet connection, as sign-in requires connectivity. If you are using Google sign-in, ensure your Google account is properly configured on your device under Settings → Accounts.
If the issue persists, try force-stopping the app and reopening it. If you still cannot sign in, please email us at support@bytecraft.pk with a brief description of the error and your Android version.
Linking a Google account is entirely optional. When you link, it allows you to recover your LearnSnap account and protect future purchases if you reinstall the app or switch to another supported device.
You can continue using LearnSnap as a guest without linking a Google account. Linking does not give us access to your Google password or personal Google data beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy.
As a guest, the app creates a random identifier for your session. Your saved topics, answers, flashcards, and progress data are stored locally on your device.
Because guest data is not linked to an account that can be recovered, uninstalling the app or clearing app data will remove this local content. To protect your progress and enable recovery, consider linking a Google account.
If you linked a Google account before reinstalling, sign in with the same Google account when you reopen the app. Your account will be recognised and restored.
If you used the app as a guest only, locally stored data cannot be recovered after uninstalling. If you believe your account-linked data should be recoverable but is not appearing, please contact us at support@bytecraft.pk.
You can request account deletion in two ways:
1. In-app (preferred): Open LearnSnap AI → Profile → Settings → Delete Account, then review and confirm.
2. Web request: If you cannot access the app, visit our Delete Account page and send us an email using the provided template. This method also works after uninstalling the app.
We aim to process verified web-request deletions within 30 days. Note that deleting your account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription — cancel that separately in Google Play.
Camera permission is used only to let you scan and capture a study question within the app. When you scan a question, the image is sent to our backend so the question can be recognised and answered — see our Privacy Policy for details on how scanned questions are processed.
Scanning a question costs 2 credits (shown before you confirm). You can deny camera permission and still use the app's typed-question features.
Saved topics and other study content are currently stored locally on your device. This means they may be removed if you:
- Uninstalled the app
- Cleared the app's data via Android Settings → Apps → LearnSnap AI → Storage → Clear Data
- Performed a factory reset on your device
Cloud synchronisation of local study content across devices is not currently offered. If you believe this is a bug rather than expected behaviour, please email us at support@bytecraft.pk.
Try the following steps:
- Force-stop the app and reopen it
- Check that your Android OS and app are up to date via the Google Play Store
- Restart your device
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection for features that require one
If the problem persists, please email support@bytecraft.pk with your Android version, device model, and a description of what happened.
New accounts start with 5 welcome credits. Typed questions cost 1 credit, scanned questions cost 2 credits, and the cost is always shown before you confirm. Your first Quiz and first Flashcard deck per account are free; later new generations cost 1 credit each, while retaking a Quiz or reviewing existing Flashcards stays free.
If your balance looks incorrect — for example, credits were deducted but the action failed — please email us at support@bytecraft.pk with your account details and roughly when it happened.
LearnSnap's monthly premium subscription (200 credits per billing cycle) is billed and managed entirely through Google Play. To restore a purchase after reinstalling, sign in with the same Google account you originally subscribed with — your subscription status is linked to that Google-linked account.
To view, change, or cancel your subscription, open the Google Play Store app or visit Google Play's subscription settings. Deleting your LearnSnap account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel it separately in Google Play.
If you have a question about a specific charge you do not recognise, please contact Google Play support directly, as they manage all payment transactions on the platform. For anything account- or credit-related, email us at support@bytecraft.pk.
