Frequently Asked Questions

First, make sure your device has an active internet connection, as sign-in requires connectivity. If you are using Google sign-in, ensure your Google account is properly configured on your device under Settings → Accounts.

If the issue persists, try force-stopping the app and reopening it. If you still cannot sign in, please email us at talha.zahid28@gmail.com with a brief description of the error and your Android version.

Linking a Google account is entirely optional. When you link, it allows you to recover your LearnSnap account and protect future purchases if you reinstall the app or switch to another supported device.

You can continue using LearnSnap as a guest without linking a Google account. Linking does not give us access to your Google password or personal Google data beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy.

As a guest, the app creates a random identifier for your session. Your saved topics, answers, flashcards, and progress data are stored locally on your device.

Because guest data is not linked to an account that can be recovered, uninstalling the app or clearing app data will remove this local content. To protect your progress and enable recovery, consider linking a Google account.

If you linked a Google account before reinstalling, sign in with the same Google account when you reopen the app. Your account will be recognised and restored.

If you used the app as a guest only, locally stored data cannot be recovered after uninstalling. If you believe your account-linked data should be recoverable but is not appearing, please contact us at talha.zahid28@gmail.com.

You can request account deletion in two ways:

1. In-app: Open LearnSnap AI → Profile → Account → Delete Account (if available in your version).

2. Web request: Visit our Delete Account page and send us an email using the provided template. This method also works after uninstalling the app.

We aim to process verified deletion requests within 30 days.

Camera permission is used only to let you scan and capture study material within the app. Captured images are currently processed locally on your device.

We will update the app and our Privacy Policy before any remote image processing is introduced. You can deny camera permission and still use the app's text-based features.

Saved topics and other study content are currently stored locally on your device. This means they may be removed if you:

  • Uninstalled the app
  • Cleared the app's data via Android Settings → Apps → LearnSnap AI → Storage → Clear Data
  • Performed a factory reset on your device

Cloud synchronisation is not currently guaranteed. If you believe this is a bug rather than expected behaviour, please email us at talha.zahid28@gmail.com.

Try the following steps:

  • Force-stop the app and reopen it
  • Check that your Android OS and app are up to date via the Google Play Store
  • Restart your device
  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection for features that require one

If the problem persists, please email talha.zahid28@gmail.com with your Android version, device model, and a description of what happened.

Paid subscriptions have not yet been introduced to LearnSnap AI. When billing is available in the future, it will be handled through Google Play's standard billing system, and we will update our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy accordingly.

If you have a question about a charge you do not recognise, please contact Google Play support directly as they manage all payment transactions on the platform.
