Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Talha Zahid, trading as ByteCraft ("we", "us", or "our") governing your use of the LearnSnap AI: Study Helper Android application and the website at learnsnap.bytecraft.pk (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Age Requirement

LearnSnap AI is intended for users aged 13 and above. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.

The Service is not directed to children under 13. If we become aware that a user under 13 has created an account, we will take steps to remove that account and associated information.

3. Educational Use and Disclaimer

LearnSnap AI is not a substitute for:

• Qualified teachers or educational institutions
• Medical, legal, financial, or professional advice
• Peer-reviewed academic sources
• Official curriculum materials

You use AI-generated content at your own risk. We expressly disclaim any liability arising from reliance on AI-generated content without independent verification. We do not guarantee any particular grade, exam result, or learning outcome from using the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You may use the Service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation
• Submit content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or abusive
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app
• Use the Service to distribute spam or unsolicited content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract content from the Service
• Create multiple accounts, use automation, or otherwise attempt to fraudulently obtain, duplicate, or exploit credits, free-generation allowances, or subscription entitlements
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Use the Service in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair its performance
• Engage in academic dishonesty — you are responsible for ensuring your use of this app complies with your institution's academic integrity policies

5. Account Responsibility

If you create or link an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs through your account. Notify us immediately at support@bytecraft.pk if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

Guest sessions are tied to your device installation. We are not responsible for loss of guest-mode data resulting from device loss, uninstallation, or clearing of app data.

6. Intellectual Property

All content within the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, interface design, app icon, brand assets, and software — is owned by or licensed to Talha Zahid, trading as ByteCraft and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

Content you generate or input within the app (such as typed questions or uploaded study material) remains yours. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the Service to you.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The Service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued — in whole or in part — at any time, with or without notice.

Some features of the Service require an internet connection. Offline access is limited to locally saved content. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unavailability of the Service.

8. Credits, Subscriptions, and Purchases

LearnSnap AI uses a credit system to meter AI-powered actions. The credit cost of an action is always shown before you confirm it. As of these Terms:

• New accounts receive 5 welcome credits.
• A typed question costs 1 credit; a scanned question costs 2 credits.
• Your first successful Quiz and your first successful Flashcard deck per account are free; later new Quiz or Flashcard-deck generations cost 1 credit each.
• Retaking a Quiz you already generated or reviewing Flashcards you already created is free.
• A monthly premium subscription provides 200 credits per billing cycle.

Credits are a service unit, not currency, money, or property. Credits have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for cash, cannot be transferred between accounts, and are not owed to you as a refund except where required by applicable law or Google Play's refund policies.

Paid subscriptions and any in-app purchases are offered and managed through the Google Play Store. Billing, renewal, and cancellation of subscriptions are governed by Google Play's policies; you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the Google Play Store app or Google Play's subscription settings. Deleting your LearnSnap account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription — you must cancel the subscription separately through Google Play.

We may change credit costs, free allowances, or subscription pricing going forward. We will provide reasonable notice of material pricing changes through the app or by updating these Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
• We disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, loss of study content, or reliance on AI-generated content.
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or, if you have not paid, zero).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Talha Zahid (trading as ByteCraft), its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, you must stop using the app. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will remain in effect.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with applicable law, and any disputes shall be resolved as required by applicable consumer-protection law.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

We will provide notice of material changes through the app or by updating the effective date on this page. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
